Dr. Susie Kilshaw

Susie Kilshaw is a Principal Research Fellow in the Department of Anthropology, University College London (UCL); she was previously a Teaching Fellow in Medical Anthropology in the same department. In 2008 she was awarded a Wenner Gren Richard Hunt Fellowship to support her in writing her book on Gulf War Syndrome titled Impotent Warriors: Gulf War Syndrome, Vulnerability and Masculinity (Berghahn Books, 2009). She completed her M.SC in Medical Anthropology and her PhD in Social Anthropology at UCL. Recently, her interests have taken her to the Middle East where she has conducted fieldwork for the past 5 years.
